Hi there. There is free parking is along the road at the bottom of the cliff. If you are fit, you could park in Castleton and walk to the cavern. Car parks in the village are pay and display. On the entrance to the cavern there is a length where you have to duck down and another a bit further along. Hope this helps.
Q:
Are dogs allowed?
A:
100% dogs are allowed in the entire place ie the shop (where mine did the toilet all over the floor!) museum section, cafe section and the cavern
Q:
Does it get flooded when the outdoor weather is heavy raining ? Is it still practicable ?
A:
The day we went it was raining quite heavily and other than the odd drips from the roof which do form the stalactites and stalagmites it was a comfortable tour.
Q:
How long does it generally take to go around it all??
A:
Hi you will be underground for around 45 minutes. There is also a small free to enter museum on site, a gift shop and a cafe where you can get refreshments and a light meal.
