A fun, little visit with lots of information. Parking and entry were easy (and free). Many activities for kids were available. Clean. Quiet.Full review by SWMNMomofboys

I guess it depends on the child's interest and understanding of money. Since it is free...(but you do have to go through security).. I would take them. Just let them see money and get an idea would be okay. You will probably only be there a short time and attention span would work. Take a picture of them in front of the millions of dollars!

No. There are public water fountains and restrooms but nothing is allowed in to eat. There are no vending inside the building too. As another person wrote you are only there about 30 minutes. Not long enough for food and YES, you and your contents are searched and x-rayed.
Q:
How is this museum for children? Are there any hands on exhibits or anything to engage kids?
A:
Yes, its free and have hands on exhibits and give all a bag of shredded money! Can see right into floor of mine thru clear plexiglass. Interesting and informative.
Q:
How is this museum for children?
A:
Best for school age kids that have some idea what money is or kids who collect. There are some (a few) hands on things...but it won’t keep young kids attention for long.
Q:
Are there lockers or a cloak room? If so, is there a charge? Thanks.
A:
Angela C, yes, we have both lockers and a coat closet. There is no charge to use either. Thanks!
