U.S. stock futures pointed to a slightly lower open Monday after gains last week buoyed by optimism around U.S.-China trade talks, and after the U.S. jobs market held up better than expected.

U.S. stock futures are little changed with inflation data due and possibly, some clarity on where the U.S. and China stand on trade issues.

U.S. stock index futures were subdued on Monday as investors looked ahead to talks between the United States and China aimed at mending a trade rift that has rattled financial markets for much of the year.
