Max (formerly HBO Max) is bringing a whole new catalog in May 2025 that will surely offer you loads of options to watch at home.

WBD CEO David Zaslav announced the move, with the company declaring, "no consumer today is saying they want more content, but better content."

Streaming service Max is yet again changing its name, but users will be familiar with the new branding: HBO Max.

During Wednesday's upfront presentation, Warner Bros. Discovery announced Max will be rebranded as HBO Max starting this summer.

The latest new HBO Max movies include one of the 2010's very best movies and one of the best Leonardo DiCapprio movies ever.

HBO is synonymous with great television -- and now HBO Max, the re-rechristened name of Warner Bros. Discovery's linchpin streaming service, is synonymous with major corporate reversals. There is little doubt about that,

WBD changed HBO Max’s name to Max in 2023 shortly after WarnerMedia and Discovery merged, creating WBD, in 2022. The company originally rebranded the service as HBO Max in 2020, having pivoted away from the previous name HBO Now, which it announced in 2015. (WBD is also CNN’s parent company.)
