Android is getting a design refresh, launching a mixed reality platform for smart glasses, and Gemini is expanding to cars and watches. Can it entice the overwhelmingly dominant iPhone-owning youth?

Sergey Brin, the man most responsible for Google Glass, is out of retirement and back at the company he cofounded, helping make AI happen. He's also touting a new kind of "Glass" or, more accurately, Android XR smart glasses while admitting to some big Google Glass missteps.

Google Flow is a new tool that builds on Imagen 4 and Veo 3 to perform tasks like creating AI video clips and stitching them into longer sequences, or extending them, with a single prompt while keeping them consistent from scene to scene. It also provides editing tools like camera controls. It's available as part of Gemini AI Ultra.
