The Dallas Cowboys continue their 2025 training camp in Oxnard. Quarterback Dak Prescott says he is healthy and excited about the new head coach, Brian Schottenheimer.

It wasn’t like the Cowboys’ offense was bad under Mike McCarthy, the previous head coach/play caller. Last season, the Cowboys finished 17th in total offensive yards (5,567) and 25th in yards per play (5.0).

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is back at work as the team kicks off training camp in Oxnard, California, ahead of the 2025 NFL season.

Going into his 10th season as the Cowboys' quarterback, Prescott has been with the team for nearly one-third of its NFC-worst 29-season drought without a conference title game appearance. He is driven to end it this year, preferably culminating in a Super Bowl ring.

Prescott has never performed a holdout or hold-in for a new contract, but when he signed his four-year $240 million deal with $231 million guaranteed featuring an NFL-high $60 million average salary, he didn’t get it until the morning of the 2024 season opener.
