United States President Donald Trump on August 17 hailed “big progress” on Russia, hours ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders.

"The conversation was very frank, substantive, and, in my opinion, brings us closer to the necessary decisions," he said.
