Update: 4,442.1 acres scorched by Garnet Fire in Fresno County, continues to expand
Garnet Fire initially started 2:13 p.m. Aug. 24 in Fresno County, California. Since its discovery 19 hours ago, it has burned 4,442.1 acres, an increase of 1,104 acres since the last update. By Monday morning, the fire crew has managed to contain none of the blaze. However, the cause is still being investigated.
