A former University of Pittsburgh professor and UPMC doctor accused of trying to kill his wife admitted to the crime during a FaceTime call with his son shortly after the incident, according to a petition filed by his wife.

An anesthesiologist charged with attempted second-degree murder for allegedly attacking his wife on an Oahu hiking trail was indicted by a grand jury Friday, one day after his initial court appearance.
