A cold front moving slowly through Texas is poised to bring a risk for severe weather this week. Will those storms eventually make it to Houston?

Severe thunderstorms are possible in North Texas and could arrive as early as late Tuesday evening, bringing large hail, damaging winds and the risk of flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a rare high risk for severe storms and tornadoes for parts of Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky. FOX 26 Meteorlogist Remeisha Shade looks at the threat as well as Houston's wind and rain conditions for the week.

As an area of low pressure brings several rounds of severe storms to North Texas into the Midwest, it is pulling winds in off the Gulf for the Houston area. Wind speeds have increased to about 15 mph today and in the 15-25 mph range through Friday.
