Hurricane Erin is expected to grow as it moves over the Atlantic through the week, causing dangerous rip currents, heavy rain, and strong winds along the East Coast.

Hurricane Erin was poised to start a turn late Monday that meteorologists expect will keep it off the East Coast of the United States after a staggering weekend of rapid strengthening.
