Iran fired a salvo of missiles and drones on Monday at Israel while also warning the United States that its military has been given a "free hand" to attack American targets in the wake of the Trump administration's massive strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi is preparing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he expected their conversation to “be in the interests of both countries”. Araghchi said late on Sunday night that he would have “serious and important discussions” with Putin in Moscow.

Israel’s military said it carried out a series of overnight strikes against Iran’s military infrastructure, adding more pressure on Tehran following the U.S. attack on its nuclear sites over the weekend.
