Houston Texans defensive back Jimmie Ward could face legal action from the NFL following his arrest on Thursday morning.

Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward has been arrested and faces a third-degree felony assault related to an alleged family violence incident in Magnolia, Texas, according to authorities. Ward, 33, was booked early Thursday morning at Montgomery County jail and released later that afternoon after posting $30,000 bail.

Jimmie Ward will be subject to the NFL’s personal conduct policy following a felony domestic violence charge in Texas.
