Mercy Chefs, a Portsmouth-based disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization, is responding to the catastrophic flooding in Kerr County, Texas.

Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls ages 7 to 17, is located along the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas-a community now at the epicenter of a deadly flood emergency. At least six people have died in what Governor Greg Abbott called "devastating flooding" across the Hill Country and Concho Valley.

Authorities said at least 24 people have died in flooding around Kerr County, Texas, and officials are still performing water rescues.
