Two lots of cheese curds have been recalled from Trader Joe’s stores after random sample testing turned up listeria in some finished product. Manufacturer Face Rock Creamery’s recall notice said the Oregon company did the testing itself on its Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds.

Trader Joe’s has issued a recall for a batch of garlic cheddar cheese curds due to possible listeria contamination. The affected product, made by Face Rock Creamery, was sold in select stores across northern California and northern Nevada.

The company is urging customers not to eat the cheese because it could contain listeria, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in certain people.
