The Baltimore Orioles placed Ryan Mountcastle on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain Saturday, a day after the first baseman left in the eighth inning of a 2-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox with discomfort.

The Orioles will be without first baseman Ryan Mountcastle for at least the next 10 days after he suffered a hamstring injury Friday.

The first move was necessitated by Mountcastle suffering the hamstring strain during Friday’s win over the White Sox. He left that game before it was over. The Orioles are having a lot of hamstring problems this year.
