Canada's oilfield drilling and services sector is already showing signs of slowing due to U.S. President Donald Trump's threatened tariffs, triggering fears that an expected industry rebound could stall if such levies go forward.

President Trump said he would impose levies on America’s largest trading partners Tuesday. Industries are preparing for the worst.

Trump maintains that tariffs will impose few, if any, costs on the U.S. But trade experts point out that tariffs cannot simultaneously achieve all of the goals that Trump has expressed.
