Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has kicked off a visit to China meant to shore up the countries’ trade relations.
Since US President Donald Trump – just days into his second term – began imposing tariffs on China for its role in the flow of deadly opioids like fentanyl into the United States, Beijing’s message has been clear.
India and China have initiated a number of measures to repair the bilateral ties that had severely nosedived following the deadly clashes between the two militaries in 2020. Jaishankar also referred to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of India-China diplomatic ties.
