Country music icon Buck White has died at the age of 94. White, founder of the Grammy Award winning bluegrass trio the Whites, died Monday morning. Singer Ricky Skaggs confirmed the news in a social media post with a message from the four White daughters on Monday. A cause of death had not been revealed.

Country music legend Melba Montgomery has died, according to Taste of Country. The site reported that Montgomery died on Jan. 15. She was 86. Her daughter, Melissa Solomon Barrett, posted about her death on Facebook, too.

"The Lord answered our prayers and took our daddy, Buck White, home peacefully this morning at 8:00 a.m.," the message read. "We are so thankful for his 94 years on this earth. He

Las Vegas’ Sphere is going country, and Kenny Chesney is going to be the man to take it there. The legendary country singer announced Thursday a 12-show residency at the venue to begin in May. That will mean that Chesney will be the first country artist to play the Sphere.
