Proceeds from the license plate benefits Elder High School. The license plate costs $40 and $30 of that goes directly to the school to support classes, clubs, organizations, athletics and more.

Elder High School's boys basketball team returned to the court Friday, a week after racist chanting from the student cheering section forced their game against St. Xavier to a halt.

Elder, established in the early 1900s, is an all-boys school in East Price Hill. More than 720 students were enrolled this school year in grades 9-12, according to the school's website .

Those attending the Elder’s Biergarten must be at least 21 and pay $5 at the gate. Elder High School first opened in 1912 as a ninth grade-only school for boys of St. Lawrence parish.
