Justin Fields suffered an injury on Day 2 of Jets training camp. That sheds some light on the warm bodies behind Fields on the Jets depth chart.

Fields, the No. 11 overall selection by the Bears in the 2021 NFL, was traded to Pittsburgh a little over a year ago where he appeared in 10 games compiling a 4-2 record as a starter. He signed with the Jets in free agency and has been saying all the right things through OTAs, minicamp and now as things get serious.

Despite besting Lawrence in the Sugar Bowl with a six-touchdown performance, Fields’ stock continued to fall. And come draft time, the Robert Saleh-led Jets made the decision to select Zach Wilson.
