Built as the wartime home of the USAAF 453rd Bombardment Group, today Old Buckenham is one of the most famous and vibrant centres of aviation in the UK.

The 72-year-old pilot had set off from Old Buckenham Airfield in Norfolk to Earls Colne in Essex. Highlights also include solar-powered aircrafts in a possible air show first, say organisers.
