With over 60,000 Native voters in Wisconsin, and recent presidential elections being decided by far fewer votes, community leaders are raising awareness about the impact Indigenous people can have on the upcoming state Supreme Court justice election.

Early voting for the Wisconsin Supreme Court race starts next week and, although the seat is technically nonpartisan, both candidates have clear political alignments and backers that are being heavily scrutinized.

Supporters of both Judges Susan Crawford and Brad Schimel gathered Wednesday evening as the two Wisconsin Supreme Court candidates took the debate stage.
