For all of the talk about the Boston Celtics looking to make major changes to their roster this offseason, the number of quality players they might move on from seemingly keeps dwindling leading up to the start of free agency.
One player who has seen their name be thrown into trade talks is guard Derrick White. White has been an instrumental piece to the Celtics' overall success and has become a fan favorite in Boston. Boston isn't likely to trade White, barring an offer that they can't refuse. But ahead of the offseason, the Celtics guard did make an announcement.
Even though he's approaching his late-30s, Russell Westbrook is coming off a pretty impressive postseason. The Denver Nuggets pushed Westbrook's former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to the brink of elimination, and he had something to do with how they got that far.
As part of predraft workouts, the C’s watched All-American and SEC Player of the Year Johni Broome, per the Arizona Republic. Broome said he’s also worked out for the Pistons, Hawks, Nets, Clippers, Warriors and Raptors, with more coming down the line.
