Kam Jones gives the Pacers a combo guard who can play on the ball now and off the ball later, who may have to play following Tyrese Haliburton injury.

The Indiana Pacers traded to acquire Marquette star Kam Jones No. 38 in the 2025 NBA draft on June 26 from the San Antonio Spurs. After the senior earned consensus second-team All-American honors for his performance this past season, it seemed as though it was only a matter of time regarding when Jones would be selected in the NBA draft.

After trading out of the first round last week to recoup their 2026 first-round pick, the Indiana Pacers added a second round pick (No. 38) in this year's NBA draft to go along with the No. 54 selection they already had. With that No. 38 pick, the Pacers took Marquette guard Kam Jones.
