Suspect in celebratory gunfire death of Kissimmee woman arrested for manslaughter
Kissimmee police have found the man they believe fired the celebratory gunshot that killed a 66-year-old woman just minutes after midnight on New Year’s Day. Carlos Tejada, 44, was arrested Friday afternoon and accused of manslaughter by culpable negligence in the death of Carmen Neira Ochoa.

A suspect connected to the deadly celebratory gunfire that occurred on Jan. 1 was arrested on Friday, according to the Kissimmee Police Department. Police identified the suspect as 44-year-old Carlos Manuel Tejada. The victim, Carmen Rosa Neira Ochoa, was at home when she was shot by gunfire from people celebrating the new year.
