The city is about 15 miles south of San Bernandino and around 60 miles east of Los Angeles. As of June 23, no arrests had been made in the case, no suspect had been named, a sheriff's office spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY, and no motive had been publicly released for the shooting.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office led a massive police response at the Veterans of Foreign Wars facility, outside of Greenville, where bullets flew Saturday before 11 p.m., WSPA reported.
