Woo-Suk Go was poised to compete for a spot in the Miami Marlins' bullpen during spring training, but the Korean closer is dealing with a fractured right index finger that will be reevaluated in a couple weeks.

Right-hander Eury Pérez, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery last April, was put on the 60-day injury list to make room on the Marlins roster. Pérez was 5-6 with a 3.15 ERA in 19 starts for the Marlins as a rookie in 2023.

The Miami Marlins claimed right-hander Seth Martinez off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. The Diamondbacks designated Martinez, 30, for assignment on Monday when they agreed to terms with right-handed reliever Kendall Graveman to a one-year contract.

Seth Martinez is on the move once again, going to the Miami Marlins three months after the Arizona Diamondbacks claimed him off waivers from the Houston Astros.

The Marlins announced that they have claimed right-hander Seth Martinez off waivers from the Diamondbacks. The latter club had designated him for assignment earlier this week. To open a roster spot, the Marlins transferred right-hander Eury Pérez to the 60-day injured list.
