Boston's rise from under .500 to the thick of contention couldn't have come at a better time for the club's 2025 hopes.

The Phillies, who have been searching for relief pitching help throughout the season, have agreed to sign veteran reliever David Robertson, reports The Athletic. It's a deal for the rest of the season for $16 million, prorated for just the remainder of the Phillies' games, reports MLB.com, or roughly $6 million.

The Boston Red Sox are no strangers to making shocking trades during the season. Trading Rafael Devers was a prime example of that. While they have drastically improved post trade, the Red Sox front office might not be done surprising yet.
