Just a day after the nearly 500-acre Lake Fire ripped through brush near Silverwood Lake, firefighters once again issued evacuation orders for another San Bernardino County community on Sunday. The Cable Fire,

The Lake fire broke out in Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area in San Bernardino County, burning more than 400 acres and prompting evacuations and road closures in the region.

Construction is underway in Fontana on a memorial to honor all first-responders. The centerpiece of the memorial is a beam from the World Trade Center towers that fell in the 9/11 terrorist attack. The City Council accepted the beam from the San Bernardino County Professional Firefighters Local 935 earlier in June.
