VMI upsets UNC Greensboro in Southern Conference men's tournament
The second-seeded Spartans made an early exit from the Southern Conference men's basketball tournament on Saturday, losing 64-57 to seventh-seeded VMI. UNCG (20-12) trailed by as many as 11 in the first half and could only narrow the deficit to 28-19 at halftime. It shot 10-for-24 from the field in the first 20 minutes. That was the good news.
The UNC Greensboro Spartans and the Chattanooga Mocs meet in the SoCon Championship. Sunday's matchup is the first of the season for the two squads.
