A 2.8 magnitude earthquake hit the Richmond, Virginia area Tuesday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake made a minor impact at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The epicenter of the quake was in Wyndham, Va., a suburb of Richmond.
