S PRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Missourians go to the polls on August 5. Only a few counties will decide races and issues, with limited questions on the ballots. The election features school, county, and citywide issues.

The Jackson County Legislature on Monday approved an ordinance 8-0 scheduling the election. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025. The vote came after county election officials certified nearly 43,000 signatures in the county.

As the Ozark School District sees less debt and rising operation costs, residents will vote on rerouting money from the district's debt service fund to its operating fund.
