The New Orleans Pelicans made a roster move before their game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. New Orleans announced the signing of center Kylor Kelley to a 10-day contract. The former Oregon State defensive standout played briefly for the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season,

The Toronto Raptors made a major move at the trade deadline, acquiring Brandon Ingram from the New Orleans Pelicans on Feb. 6. However, the All-Star forward has yet to make his debut for the Raptors, having been sidelined since Dec. 7 with a right ankle sprain sustained in a 119-109 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Elfrid Payton is heading back to the Pelicans on another 10-day contract following a 14-assist performance against the Warriors.

In the Pelicans’ final preseason game, Green started Missi in the second half instead of Theis. While playing with the Pels’ regular starters (excluding Williamson), Missi finished three lobs at the rim and blocked a shot by Rockets All-Star Alperen Şengün.

When the Raptors acquired Brandon Ingram in an interesting and unexpected trade nearly two months ago, this corner set the over/under on Ingram’s games played as a Raptor this season at three and expected the over to be the more likely scenario. Well, as it turns out we probably won’t see Ingram in a real game at all until October.

Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic says Ingram has been running and doing some lateral movement drills. Rajakovic says that Ingram is not yet cleared for contact but the Raptors have seen some progress in his recovery. Ingram was traded by the New Orleans Pelicans to Toronto on Feb. 6, hours ahead of the NBA’s trade deadline.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Monday that Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum will not play again this season.
