St. Michael's Catholic School in Staunton — which has been around for more than 100 years — closed its doors for good this week, and some of its parishioners feel they were left in the dark.

Ferguson took the helm of St. Michael on July 1, succeeding Lisa Brown, who left St. Michael after serving three years at the school and 13 in the Diocese of Joliet.
