The popular Sacramento-area sushi restaurant chain Mikuni has been acquired by a Tokyo-based holding company, its owner said in a message to customers.

The store will serve as a one-stop-shop for a mix of Japanese and American food products, full-service meat and seafood counters and a Waka Sakura conveyor belt sushi restaurant.
