Sabally, now a three-time All-Star, was slated to suit up for the team drafted by Caitlin Clark, one of the two captains for this year's game. Sabally's replacement will be chosen by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who already selected Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride to fill in for the injured Rhyne Howard.

The Phoenix Mercury's Satou Sabally was selected as a starter for Caitlin Clark's Team Clark in the WNBA's Indianapolis All-Star Game on July 19.

Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts recently said that Sabally is " day-to-day " with an ankle injury. Tibbetts also mentioned that Kahleah Copper will be out with a hamstring injury. Copper and Sabally reportedly did not practice on Sunday, and Sabally had a boot on her right leg.
