A former star at Imhotep Charter, Edwards went undrafted last summer but quickly showed his value to the Sixers. His new deal includes two guaranteed seasons.

Justin Edwards, a Philadelphia native, emerged in the 2024-25 season as a rookie while the Sixers were dealing with several significant injuries.

Prior to signing with the 76ers, Edwards spent his lone collegiate season at Kentucky, averaging 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 32 games. He also led Philadelphia’s Imhotep Charter High School to consecutive Pennsylvania State titles in his junior and senior seasons from 2021-23.
