Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has called on the Federal Government to accelerate the rehabilitation and expansion of the Alau Dam to avert a repeat of last year’s devastating flood disaster.

In 2024 in when Alau dam collapsed, hundreds died, thousands were displaced in and many vital infrastructure were lost in Maiduguri and its surrounding local governments.
