Rebecca Marodi, a Cal Fire captain stationed in Riverside County, was found stabbed to death inside of her own home in Ramona on Monday evening, authorities said.

Detectives with the San Diego Sheriff's Department "are treating this case as a potential domestic violence incident," officials said

According to a press release sent by the sheriff's department, the motivation and circumstances of the homicide were unknown and there was no suspect information.
