A helicopter with engine failure forced a pilot to land on a side street along on I-15 in unincorporated Escondido, causing traffic to slow to a standstill Sunday afternoon.
The pilot was able to get out of the helicopter and was not injured, the San Diego Sheriff's Department confirmed.
