Police officers are understood to have responded to a 911 call made from Burrell's apartment about an unresponsive woman.

The 55-year-old Food Network star — who hosted “Worst Cooks in America” for 15 years — was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home on Tuesday. She reportedly suffered cardiac arrest and her body was surrounded by pills, as previously reported by Page Six. (It’s premature to draw any conclusions about whether the pills played a role in her death.)

Anne Burrell's husband was seen in public for the first time since the Food Network star's sudden death. In a photo published by Page Six, Stuart Claxton looked somber outside of Burrell’s wake, which was held in New York City on June 20.
