Sophie Cunningham isn't going to back down from a fight, that's for sure. On Tuesday night, Connecticut Sun guard Jacy Sheldon received a flagrant foul for poking Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark in the eye.

Fever guard Sophie Cunningham was a part a late-game skirmish after delivering a hard foul on Connecticut's Jacy Sheldon with less than a minute to play. Sheldon immediately went after Cunningham, resulting in double ejections,

Sophie Cunningham isn’t one to keep her mouth shut or her hands to herself, apparently. The Indiana Fever guard found herself in the middle of a heated exchange during Tuesday night’s matchup against the Connecticut Sun.

In the third quarter, Sun guard Jacy Sheldon poked Caitlin Clark in the eye, and a moment later, Marina Mabrey shoved Clark to the ground. Clark and Sheldon also exchanged trash talk a couple of other times during the contest.

Any flagrant foul comes with an automatic fine. The official also said the league has issued a second additional fine against the Fever's Sophie Cunningham for her role in the on-court melee that occurred after she fouled Jacy Sheldon with 46.

Marina Mabrey’s foul on Caitlin Clark has been upgraded to a Flagrant-2 by the WNBA, a source tells the AP. Sophie Cunningham was fined.
