Health Canada issued a product recall notice for Electrical Devices GFCI Safety Outlets sold at Home Hardware. Approximately 664,000 units of the recalled outlets were sold in Canada between 2015 and May 2025.

This is the latest — and largest — update linked to the national outbreak being tracked by the Public Health Agency of Canada. With this recall, the list of affected products has ballooned from 4 items to 71, with distribution now expanded to include B.C. and Saskatchewan on top of the original provinces (Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec).
