Daniel Jones will start at QB for Colts

On Tuesday, the Colts named former New York Giants first-round pick Daniel Jones as the Week 1 starter after a competition in training camp. Colts coach Shane Steichen was transparent about the battle between Richardson and Jones this offseason.
Jones ended up playing six seasons for the Giants. Over that time, he achieved a 24-44-1 record. While completing 64 percent of his passes, Jones totaled 14,582 yards. He tossed 70 touchdowns and 47 interceptions. In the ground game, Jones rushed 399 times for 2,179 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Daniel Jones nearly sank Brian Daboll and the Giants, and with Jaxson Dart shining this summer, it’s clear New York is better off without their former QB1.
