Milwaukee County officials said local teams visited more than 3,400 homes. Fifty-three percent were destroyed or had major damage.
Between 40 and 60 FEMA staff will be deployed to southeastern Wisconsin, according to the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management.

As people across southeast Wisconsin face a challenging rebuild from historic downpours and flooding from August 8-10, a nonprofit is providing some assistance. According to a release, Airbnb’s nonprofit,
"The damage throughout the area is overwhelming," Mayor Cavalier Johnson said after visiting home with David Crowley and Tammy Baldwin.
