The Dolphins offense had much more to be encouraged about on Day 2 of joint practices with the Lions, starting out hot with QBs throwing six TDs in 7-on-7 drills.

Defensive tackle Zach Sieler didn’t dress. The same goes for receiver Tyreek Hill, edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and fullback Alec Ingold. Based off of the injury report alone, it appeared that the Dolphins could be in for back-to-back drubbings – even if edge rusher Chop Robinson returned.

The defense flexed one day after quarterback Jared Goff and the Lions put on a show. Goff did find wide receiver Jameson Williams for a 50-yard touchdown and scattered three more red zone scores in the earlier periods, but it was tough sledding between those plays.
