Nintendo Switch 2 buyers have started experiencing Joy-Con drift with the new controllers, and the fix is identical.

Newer, more repairable handheld gaming consoles have prompted repair site iFixit to reconsider its original Switch rating.

iFixit says the Switch 2 is even harder to repair than the original. A complete teardown of Nintendo’s new console reveals more components that are harder to remove and replace.

iFixit is also reworking scores for the Switch OLED edition and the Switch Lite. It also offered to rescore the first-gen Switch again if Nintendo offers repair manuals and replacement parts.

According to iFixit, Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons are nearly identical to their predecessors - They are still susceptible to drift.
