The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida State Guard and law enforcement under the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services signed the deal to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deport and detain undocumented people, according to the Governor’s Office.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis approved a package of sweeping immigration bills on Thursday, helping settle a bitter showdown with state Republican legislative leaders.

Clermont Police Chief Charles “Chuck” Broadway will be an inaugural member of Florida’s State Immigration Enforcement Council, courtesy of an appointment from Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The new agreements involve the Florida State Guard, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the FDLE.
