Bdu/springs Fire initially started 9:18 p.m. June 30 in San Bernardino County, California. It has burned 0.5 acres of private land after being active for 14 hours. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

On Sunday, the Wolf Fire broke out near Banning, quickly scorching over 800 acres, while the Mandalay Fire forced evacuation orders for dozens of homes in Riverside and the Mindy Fire engulfed dozens of acres in remote Riverside County near Aguanga.

Construction is underway in Fontana on a memorial to honor all first-responders. The centerpiece of the memorial is a beam from the World Trade Center towers that fell in the 9/11 terrorist attack. The City Council accepted the beam from the San Bernardino County Professional Firefighters Local 935 earlier in June.
